BEYOND THE VIEWING

Make room for local history.

Madliena Chapel, Madliena Fort and the Victoria Lines appear in the local council's historical-places directory. They offer three starting points for exploring the area's heritage.

Before adding a stop to your day, confirm public access and any opening arrangements. The council directory does not establish a connected walking trail between these places.

Try the return journey, too.

When viewing, check the pavement and crossings, steps, lift access and where deliveries can stop. A route that looks convenient on a map may feel different with shopping.

Pembroke is its own choice.

The official address register lists Pembroke under its own council. It will have a separate edition, rather than appearing as a district of Swieqi.
